Thai Foot Massage

Thai Foot Massage originates in China, where the art has been practised for over 5000 years, later on brought to Thailand where it has evolved under the influence of the Japanese and Indian traditions. Hence it has elements of Shiatsu, Chinese massage, reflexology and Ayurveda.

The treatment involves massage of the feet and of the lower legs, applying stretches and pressure along the energy lines and to the reflex points on the feet which connect to body’s internal organs. It includes the use of a traditional Thai foot massage wooden stick as well as using the hands, palms, fingers, thumbs and knuckles. These manipulations allow to open energy pathways that might be blocked or congested and to stimulate body organs and systems corresponding to each reflex point.   This will produce a deep and unique feeling of balance, relaxation and well-being.
